Some celebs have also shared their stories of struggles and how they overcame them. Now actress Divya Dutta has come forth to talk on the same issue. She also talked about the phase of her life when she was going through depression. She told that she faced tough times when her mother passed away. In addition, she voiced the requirements of a person going through such a phase. In an interview with ETimes, she also talked about her roles in movies.
Divya Dutta opines on Mental Health:
When asked about her take on the issue of mental health, Divya confessed that she has been through depression when she lost her mother. She also said that during such times, one needs strong support system to understand their silences. She added, “It gets better when you talk it out to people close to you. And there are alternatives like yoga and meditation you can opt for instead of opting for all those medications. You need to work on things and yourself. What you need is some sensitive people around you.”
The actor also talked about her role in Heroine and how people told her that she did not suit it. She further mentioned that you do not need face to prove mettle, it’s the attitude that matters. She also said, “But Madhur Bhandarkar stood by me and said she will do it”
When asked about the most difficult part of being a celebrity, she said that there are pros and cons as well. Divya also said even though she loves being a celebrity but her privacy goes for a toss. However, she likes the adoration and adulation that she gets.
