Gul Panag On Bollywood vs Tollywood debate
In a recent conversation with the media, Gul joins in on the never-ending debate. Let us tell you, Panag recently made her Telugu movie debut with the film The Ghost. She was seen along with the Tollywood superstar Nagarjuna. Weighing her opinion, Gul says, “Nag sir is breathtakingly handsome. I have to confess that he has stunning charisma and a strong vibe that says no one is cooler than him.”
Let us tell you, she is one of the many Hindi film actors who have crossed the bridge to the rapidly increasing South film industry. She gave it all to get prepped for her role. The actress took the help of an acting coach two months before the shoot started. Let us tell you, she was still nervous for two or three days during the initial shoot. However, she confessed that things fell into the right places.
The actress then added, “Look at Parasite, it became the first non-English film to become the Best Picture at the Oscars. The best picture is the best picture that the jury has found, what does language have to do with it? Films should be made in the language which is most natural to where the story is set. Why wasn’t Veer Zaara made in Punjabi if I ask? Punjabi is easily understood by most people. But, it’s in Hindi. At least the portion could have been in Punjabi where they (Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta) were in the village. Of course, when Shah Rukh is in a work environment, I can imagine why he is speaking Hindi.”
