Speaking of her recent nuptials, Kamna Pathak said, “I am officially married at last! (Laughs). Everyone in my social circle has always been interested in the man I’m dating and the date of our wedding. Every conversation that would involve me would revolve around this one question. Thus, the secret is now out! I married Sandeep in a private ceremony in front of a small group of loved ones. Over four days, we had complex rituals. The engagement ceremony, or Sakhar Puda, marked the beginning of the festivities. The marriage ceremony was conducted in the traditional Maharashtrian manner in Nagpur. Marathi weddings are quite quick and easy.”
Kamna gave specifics about her wedding clothing, “I had a “Mundavalya” on my forehead and was dressed in a gorgeous and distinctly Maharashtrian silk saree with an exquisite gold border. A day or two before the wedding, we also held Kelvan, a Marathi pre-wedding ceremony. All the rituals, including Haldi, Mehendi, Sangeet, and Phera, were performed in Orange City before being celebrated in style in my birthplace of Indore. When my parents saw me dressed as the bride, they sobbed, and I did too. Despite feeling surreal, everything was so genuine and magical.”
Kamna narrated her tale of love with Sandeep Shridhar. She said, “Sandeep is incredibly supportive and caring. His kind demeanor is what drew us together and led me to fall in love with him. Nothing could be better for a girl than to wed her best friend, and I count myself fortunate to have her as my life partner.”
