He was recently in the headlines for his extramarital romance with actress Parveen Babi.
The women of Mahesh Bhatt life
While Bhatt moved in with his lady love, their romance ended tragically when Parveen developed paranoid schizophrenia. Following this rocky period, which included his divorce with Kiran, Bhatt married Soni Razdan (Alia and Shaheen Bhatt’s mother/ Mahesh Bhatt Wife), yet reports of the filmmaker’s romance continued to surface.
While Mahesh Bhatt was slandered in the 1980s for his magazine cover lip-lock with daughter Pooja Bhatt, his bizarre comment that if Pooja wasn’t his daughter, he would have liked to marry her raised many eyebrows. And, over time, Mahesh became associated with a few names; in fact, a video of him improperly touching late actress Jiah Khan leaked online, causing a stir.

Even during the AIB Roast scandal, Mahesh pointed out that because Sonakshi Sinha is the daughter of an MP, she was kept out of certain FIRs. However, his most famous battle in Bollywood was with Kangana Ranaut, who was introduced by Bhatt. Kangana and Rangoli accused Bhatt of throwing a slipper at her during a function just a year ago.
After Kangana turned down a film given by Bhatt, the producer-director nearly attacked the actress but was stopped by his daughter Pooja, according to the Ranaut sisters. Kangana further claimed that Bhatt threw a slipper at her as she left a screening of her film.
