The veteran actress Jaya Bachchan has given some stellar performances in many blockbuster Bollywood movies. Recently, the seasoned actress Jaya and her daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda revealed that Agastya Nanda watched her movie Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham just to make fun of his grandmother. Yes, you have read that right!
In the latest episode of What The Hell Navya? the three Bachchan women Shweta Bachchan, Jaya, and Navya got into a candid conversation and spilt many beans from their family. Navya Naveli Nanda asked her mother and grandmother to reveal their favourite movies. Jaya listed several films. Her list included Gone With the Wind, On the Waterfront, and Paul Newman’s Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. She also confessed that she loves all the Marlon Brando movies.
Mrs Bachchan also spoke about Indian films. She says that in Indian films she only likes old Hindi movies. The actress likes Dilip Kumar’s Devdas and Mughal-E-Azam. Furthermore, she confessed that she can watch her film Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham anytime. Not only this, but she also likes mushy films like Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Black and all of Bimal Roy’s films. Jaya concludes her list by adding GodFather.
To this her daughter Shweta adds that Kabhie Khushi Kabhi Gham is a film that one can never get bored of. Her son Agastya watches Karam Johar’s Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham really often. Jaya then said that Agastya watches the film to “make fun” of her. “He watches it to make fun of me,” she says. Shweta then explained that at times the generation gap may be a reason why he does not understand.
On the work front, Agastya Nanda is all set to make his debut in the entertainment industry. The audience cannot wait to see him next to Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan and Sridevi’s younger daughter Khushi Kapoor in the Netflix original The Archies. It is helmed by the ace filmmaker Zoya Akhtar.
