Mirzapur was a loved show that was released on an OTT platform. The spectators binged watched the show over and over again in the wait of its sequel. However, the wait has been put to pause now. The second season of the show is announced and will be streamed from October 23, 2020. Many netizens are excited about the sequel of the show but some have started a new campaign. The protest is against the reputation of the show. People on social media platforms are urging and asking others to boycott the show. This has come to picture due to one of the show’s actors, Ali Fazal.
Boycott Mirzapur because of Ali Fazal:
Ali played the role of ‘Guddu Bhaiya’ or ‘Guddu Pandit’ in the show. His performance was remarkable and commendable. However, during the wake of the protests against CAA- NRC, Ali Fazal also supported those campaigns by tweeting. The actor was against the rule passed by the ruling party and this enraged many netizens who are supporters of the new law passed.
The tweet that angered people on social media was one of the dialogues of Ali Fazal from his show Mirzapur. The tweet read, “Protests: Suru Majboori Mein Kiye Thhey, Ab Maja AA Raha Hai!!”
Reacting to the same, one of the netizens wrote, “Guddu (Ali Fazal) of Mirzapur2 at his best and we need to do also our best by #BoycottMirzapur2“

The other Twitter user also accused Ali as one of the reasons of riots in Delhi. He shared the following tweet.
Ali Fazal and his leftist gang instigated crowd to protest against CAA & NRC
which turned into anti hindu riot in delhi.
Even though CAA has nothing to do with Indians
Still these leftist ran propoganda.
