Ali’s first action movie, Kandahar, was directed by Ric Roman Waugh and primarily filmed in Saudi Arabia’s Al Ula region. The actor captioned the images, “There is always a director organising everything behind some grandeur. Today, Kandahar is quite painful. N. America. I’m really grateful to you both. Ric for including me on this adventure. Additionally, Mr Gerard Butler, for all of his notoriety both on and off camera… (as well as for much more), and the entire Kandahar cast, both on and off set. The real heroes are people like you.”
In a few weeks, the movie is anticipated to be released in India. The film’s early reviews have praised Ali’s performance, with the LA Times praising him as a highlight and We Got This Covered praising him for his convincing portrayal of the generations-wide struggle and ability to play both sides as the charismatic Kahil. Indian actor and model Ali Fazal mainly appear in Hindi films. Before making an appearance in the American television miniseries Bollywood Hero. He made his feature debut in a minor role in the English-language movie The Other End of the Line.
