Sherlyn Chopra Statement
The Mumbai Police is set to present Sherlyn Chopra statement against the businessman in court, according to reports on internet news portals, which might jeopardize his bail application.
Last Friday, the Mumbai Crime Branch’s property unit summoned Sherlyn for questioning in connection with the pornographic case. The actress was seen on her way out of the police station after over 8 hours of questioning.
Chopra explained the aim of the questioning to the media, saying, “They asked me about my deal with Armsprime and what the terms and conditions of the contract were, as well as how many films I recorded with them and who all was a part of the content creation.”
The actress went on to say that she was questioned about her ties to Kundra and other acquaintances as well. “They also questioned, ‘Raj Kundra k sath mere kaise sambandh the,’ and what about the other firms controlled by him, do you have any knowledge about them? The property cell officers informed me that this is not a vengeance against anyone. We want to smash this pornographic business.”

Kundra, who was detained on July 19, was initially placed on police remand until July 27. He was then remanded to 14 days of judicial detention by the Esplanade Court. His IT director Ryan Tharp’s bail request will be heard today as well. The court had also requested a statement from the Mumbai Police Department on the bail application. Chopra’s recorded statement, her company records, and other data are said to be used by the police in court today.
The businessman’s appeal, contesting his detention and subsequent remand orders, was dismissed by the Bombay High Court on Saturday. Justice A S Gadkari stated, the petitioners in judicial custody, do not deserve any relief at this time.
When a police team came to their office, Kundra and Thorpe began to erase texts and other evidence from their phones, according to a statement given under oath by the investigating officer.
