Tunisha Sharma Suicide Case: Sheezan Khan, the star of a television series, was granted bail on Saturday by a Vasai court after he was detained for nearly ten weeks on suspicion of taking his ex-girlfriend and co-star Tunisha Sharma’s life. Sharma, age 21, was found dead on December 24, 2022, while being shot for the television show “Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul.” A day later, there was a huge commotion when Khan, 27, was detained on suspicion of encouraging her suicide.
Tunisha Sharma Suicide Case: Sheezan Khan Gets Bail
Judge R. D. Deshpande further ordered Sessions Khan to surrender his passport and refrain from leaving the country without permission before granting him conditional bail in the amount of Rs. 1 lakh. Sharma committed suicide on the teleserial sets built in Naigaon in Vasai town, and Khan was apprehended by the Waliv Police Station on suspicion of helping and abetting.
Khan and Sharma were in a relationship, but it ended just a few weeks before Sharma passed away, allegedly as a result of her being mentally unstable.
Afterward, Tunisha’s mother Vanita Sharma, and uncle Pawan Sharma demanded the arrest of Khan and his family on charges of aiding suicide after making claims that they had pressured Tunisha to adopt Islamic rituals and other claims that had led her to commit herself.
Falak Naaz and Shafaq Naaz, who are actors, and the mother of Sheezan Khan retaliated against the Sharmas for unjustly accusing them. They spoke to the media about how Tunisha was reportedly mistreated by her own family, who withheld money from her and neglected her mental health issues, among other things.
The Waliv Police filed their lengthy 524-page chargesheet in the case in the middle of February, designating Khan as an accessory to Sharma’s suicide and listing 31 witnesses and other pieces of evidence. They plan to file a supplemental chargesheet at a later date.
Khan’s attorney, Sharad Rai, argued for bail by pointing out that the investigation was completed, a chargesheet had been submitted, and as a result, his client should be allowed bail. But, the Special Public Prosecutor, Sanjay More, was opposed to bail for several reasons.
