At the age of 80, seasoned Kannada actor Lohithaswa passed away today in Bengaluru. He reportedly spent the previous month in the hospital after developing a disease connected to his advanced age that did not improve with therapy. He is thought to have died from a deadly heart attack while receiving treatment. His house is where his mortal remains are stored so that others might pay their respects. Tomorrow, the last rituals will be performed in his native Tumkur, Karnataka.

“He had lately had a heart attack and was having problems with his brain. Even though his respiration and blood pressure had recovered since then, they began to decline once more, and this afternoon he passed away,” Sharath Lohitashwa, his actor son, said.
He told reporters that admirers and well-wishers could pay their respects to the veteran actor’s mortal remains until Wednesday morning at their home in the city’s Kumaraswamy Layout.
He continued, “Last rites would be conducted by the evening in his native hamlet of Thondagere in the Tumakuru district.”

The actor shared the screen with several seasoned performers throughout his lengthy career, which spanned several decades, including Rajkumar, Vishnuvardhan, Shankar Nag, and Ambareesh, to name a few. Around 500 films and numerous plays and serials all include Lohithaswa among their credits. In addition to this, he was a writer and a retired English professor.

Through social media, several Sandalwood members shared their sorrow and offered their condolences. Through a Facebook post, director T N Seetharam paid respect to Lohithaswa. He has three children, one of them is the actor Sharath Lohitashwa.
