Dilip Joshi Opens Up About Losing Weight Before Doing A Film
Dilip Joshi had leading roles in various Bollywood and Gujarati films. Speaking about his 1992 sociopolitical feature film, Hun Hunshi Hunshilal, in which he played the lead character of a scientist named Hunshilal, he explained how he had to prepare physically for the part. Renuka Shahane, Manoj Joshi, and Mohan Gokhale were among the other actors in the movie. By jogging, he shed 16 kg in just 1.5 months. “I used to go to work, change at the swimming club, run across the entire Marine Drive until (Hotel) Oberoi in the rain, and then go back. It used to take me 45 minutes to jog the entire distance. In one and a half months, I lost 16 kg” the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor recalled.
He also mentioned how much he used to like running. Dilip Joshi continued, “It used to be so much fun. There would be a gentle drizzle when the sun sank. The clouds used to be so lovely.”

Dilip Joshi Worked As A Travel Agent
Dilip Joshi further mentioned that he previously held a full-time position. Fans might be surprised to learn that the actor spent five years working as a travel agent before breaking into acting. But subsequently, he left his position to pursue acting, which had always been his goal.
He said, “There was a phase in my life when I was a partner in a travel agency. From 1985 till 1990, it was a routine life: go to the office at 9 am and come back at 9 pm. We used to manage the luxury buses which ran between Mumbai and Ahmedabad and Mumbai and Bhavnagar.”
For the uninitiated, Dilip Joshi made his Bollywood debut in 1989 with the Salman Khan-starring film Maine Pyaar Kiya.
