Actor Anil Kapoor had a successful start to 2023 thanks to positive reviews for his performance as Shailendra Rungta, aka Shelly, in The Night Manager, which is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. He also made a guest appearance in Jeremy Renner’s Rennervations, a Disney+ series, and won the Filmfare Best Supporting Actor award for Jugjugg Jeeyo. Sunedar, a fast-paced action drama directed by Suresh Triveni and produced by Abundantia Entertainment, is the actor’s upcoming film.
According to Kapoor in Variety, “I have made a lot of action films, but this is a pure action movie, a dramatic action movie. I’m eager to do it. Currently, the plot is a secret. Principal photography will begin on September 15th. In the 2019 Malayalam blockbuster Android Kunjappan Ver 5.25, which concentrates on a father-son relationship and how their lives are altered by the arrival of an AI humanoid, Anil Kapoor has revealed that he will portray the protagonist.”

For the unversed, Anil Kapoor is an Indian actor and producer who predominantly works in Hindi films, as well as television and films from other countries. Kapoor has performed in more than 100 films during the course of a career that has lasted more than 40 years as an actor and since 2005 as a producer. He has been honoured with countless awards, including two National Film Awards and seven Filmfare Awards, for his numerous iconic, well-known, and cult films.
In a supporting part, Anil Kapoor made his Hindi film debut in Umesh Mehra’s 1979 film Hamare Tumhare.
