These days, Aditya Roy Kapur has plenty of reasons to smile from ear to ear. The actor, who has won hearts with his performances in films such as Aashiqui 2, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Malang, Ludo, and others, has landed a major project about which he can’t stop raving. To be sure, the actor has been cast in the main role in the Tamil action film Thadam, a Bollywood adaptation. Aditya will be filling Arun Vijay’s shoes in the remake, something he is looking forward to.
In this yet-to-be-titled film, Aditya will play a double part in two entirely distinct avatars. The film will be produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani. Thadam remake is supposed to be based on actual events. It will be directed by Vardhan Ketkar, a first-time filmmaker.
Aditya Roy Kapur On His Role In The Film
When asked about his role in the film, Aditya said, “I am motivated and delighted to be a part of conveying such an amazing story. The original picture was engrossing, and it made an indelible effect on me. As an actor, getting the chance to play two roles requires twice the preparation and twice the difficulty. I’m up for it! I’m excited to work with Bhushanji, Murad Bhai, and Vardhan. To bring this thrilling thriller to the cinema as soon as possible.”
Financer Murad Khetani, said that while he admires Arun Vijay’s performance, he wanted to make it for the Hindi audience. “Aditya has been doing fantastic work, and his image as an action hero has received a lot of positive feedback. We approached him since our film required a strong personality like his, and he immediately agreed to join us,” he said.
The film, which has yet to be named, is set to enter theaters in September of this year. Meanwhile, Aditya is presently starring alongside Sanjana Sanghi in Kapil Verma’s OM. Catch more updates on new Bollywood movies only on bollywoodhushnews.com
