According to a source close to the actress, she opted out because her schedule conflicted with Alia Bhatt’s and her upcoming projects. Although the movie was confirmed nearly two years ago, Farhan Akhtar has yet to reveal when filming will begin because of the pandemic, which was followed by the actresses’ availability dates.

According to a person involved in the production, who was reported by ETimes as stating, “Katrina Kaif is doing the film and one is tired of clarifying on the same. The installation of the film is just marginally delayed.” Priyanka Chopra Jonas previously discussed the making of the movie in an interview with PTI, claiming that it all transpired over the phone with her “girls,” Katrina and Alia. She said, “Before Farhan or anyone else (on board), I called Alia and Katrina. I started by dialling the girls. I had the idea to make a Hindi movie while I was at home. But I wanted it on women’s terms,”
