Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi’s Chehre made fans wait for a long while. The movie Chehre ‘s release date is announced. It is set to come out in theatres on April 30, 2021. The announcement was made yesterday by both the main actors on social media. This is a Rumy Jafry directorial and is a courtroom drama with elements of mystery and thrill. The film also stars Siddhant Kapoor, Krystle D’Souza and Rhea Chakraborty. However, now Rhea’s name seems missing from the poster. It could be because the makers do not want to seek extreme reactions on social media.

Talking about Chehre, Rumi Jafry told MiD-Day, “I am confident she will get through this phase. Everybody around will advise you to be brave, but only the one going through knows how difficult it is. Time is the best healer; with time, she will be fine. She is a talented artist and will be ready to bounce back.” The actress had revealed her first look from the film in June 2019. He had also spoken about how the team was keen to release it in theatres to support distributors and exhibitors. He further told MiD-Day, “Anand Pandit (film’s producer) has decided to pursue a theatrical release. We need to support the exhibitors.”
Earlier there were rumours that an OTT (Over-the-top) platform has cracked a huge deal with the makers. The producers were receiving a whopping amount because of the headlines around Rhea Chakraborty.
Rhea was accused of abetment to suicide in Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case. The Kai Po Che actor committed suicide in June 2020 leaving the nation weeping in his absence.
Talking about Emraan Hashmi’s professional front, the actor will also be seen alongside Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in Tiger 3. He will play the role of the main villain in the film.
