Dasara Movie Review:
Nani takes on a new challenge by accepting the role of Dharani in Dasara. With boy-next-door personalities, Nani has enchanted audiences for years. He gives a fantastic performance in the film. In the role of Dharani, Nani takes great care and excels by paying close attention to her appearance, body language, and speech. He gave incredible performances in the difficult scenes. Keerthy Suresh, an actress who has won national awards, is given a significant role. This is the best Tollywood film she signed on for after Mahanati, and her acting as Vennela is flawless. Her acting and speech both seem quite natural.
Dheekshith Shetty is equally as important as the other two leads. The Telugu film industry will certainly cast him in many more excellent roles after this one because of his incredibly natural performance. Shine, a Malayalam actor Tom Chacko receives a solid role, which he justifies with a strong showing. In their respective roles, Sai Kumar, Samuthirakani, Purnaa, and others do alright.
What’s Bad:
Srikanth Odela makes his impressive directorial debut with Dasara. He does better as a director than as a writer. He will probably get some absurd offers from renowned banners in the days to come. The director displays his exceptional talents on the big screen. Thanks to the men who produced them, the action scenes and dialogue are excellent. Nani deserves praise for both his rough exterior and his execution in the action scenes. Watching the interval and the climax is worthwhile.
While Srikanth Odela is a capable director, as was already mentioned, he lacks the ability as a writer to choose an engaging story. He does a good job with the play’s first half, but the second half drags because of the slow flow of events. Aside from the climax, there isn’t much else to keep audiences interested. The second half of the narrative is incredibly predictable. This is a significant letdown for the film. Nani, though, succeeds with his performance. Dasara would have been a fantastic movie if the second half was as interesting as the first.
Since the entire movie is serious and devoid of humour, there is no room for humour. Director Srikanth Odela should have inserted some amusing moments among the friends in the first half. A significant letdown is the placement of the popular song Chamkeela Angeelesi. There are some unheard dialogues.
Narrative:
Srikanth Odela creates a substandard narrative with overtly commercial aspects for the sole purpose of amusing large crowds. The best music is provided by the film’s music director, Santhosh Narayanan, and it lifts several of the situations. Sathyan Sooryan does excellent work. His camerawork appears fairly sophisticated, especially in the night shots. Better editing was needed, and editor Naveen Nooli should have cut several scenes in the second half to make Dasara a more interesting film. The production values are excellent. The makeup artists deserve praise for their incredible work.
Last Word:
Dasara is an overall gritty action drama with a standout performance by Nani. He carried the movie from beginning to end. Shine Tom Chacko, Dheekshith Shetty, and Keerthy Suresh all gave strong performances. Technically, the movie is pretty impressive. The movie is a great pick to spend the weekend, with the exception of a few sluggish sections in the second half.
