Actors Ranveer Singh and Varun Dhawan are both known for their energy and naughtiness. There was a time when the audience would have seen them share screen space. Unfortunately, this didn’t happen and now their fans have to wait for them to pair up soon for a film. However, before that, let us tell you the whole story of how the actors were almost cast for the blockbuster comedy film Welcome Back. Read on.
Ranveer Singh and Varun Dhawan:
The film Welcome was released in the year 2007 that was directed by Anees Bazme. The film attained a cult status in the comic genre. It starred Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Katrina Kaif in pivotal roles. The huge success of this film motivated the filmmakers to make it into a franchise. However, things were later not right between the filmmaker Firoz Nadiadwala and his leading man, Akshay Kumar. Thus, the team had to look for a fresh casting for the film Welcome Back.
At first, everyone tried to solve the issues and break the wall. However, Akshay Kumar decided that it was best for him to part ways with the film Welcome Back and its team. Later in 2013, the team suggested Firoz make the film starring two rising stars – Ranveer Singh and Varun Dhawan. However, things didn’t work out with both of them.
The script later turned out to be fit for the actor John Abraham and the actor agreed too. So, this was all about the Welcome Back movie. Stay tuned to Bollywood Hush for the latest Bollywood news and updates.
