Abir Sengupta has had immense fonding for the Bollywood’s earlier era. As a child, he used to spend many afternoons in front of the television. He used to amazed and mesmerised by the songs and visuals. Therefore, him wanting to pay tribute to that era is not a surprise. He will do so with his debut directorial Indoo ki Jawani which stars Aditya Seal and Kiara Advani. The movie features a song titled as Dil Tera which has been very finely directed by Abir.

Talking about the same, Abir said, “As a filmmaker, I am [emotionally attached] to the many classics that have shaped the Hindi film industry. While writing the song sequence, I wanted to pay homage to the iconic looks and sequences from the ’60s to the ’90s.”
In the track Kiara Advani will be seen re-creating looks of Sharmila Tagore from Kashmir Ki Kali (1964), Parveen Babi from Namak Halal (1982) and Urmila Matondkar in Rangeela (1995) as the couple move from one decade to the next. Sengupta worked closely with the film’s stylist Sheetal Sharma to give true essence to the song.
He also added, “It is a situational song that imaginatively spans the glorious eras of Hindi cinema. References were drawn from the most iconic look of every decade. We also added a bit of quirk to each theme.”

In the movie Kiara plays the role of a resident in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. the city has a local lingo, therefore, Kiara has to furnish those skills for herself.
