Fatima Sana Shaikh to star in the Hindi Remake of Critical and Commercial Hit Aruvi
In a statement to MiD-Day, Fatima Sana Shaikh says, “I am thrilled to do the Aruvi remake, and am looking forward to diving deep into the character. I am glad that [the two studios] have come together with E Nivas to make this content.” It seems casting is in full swing for other members of the cast. The film will go on floors in mid-2021. Producer Sameer Nair, the CEO, Applause Entertainment, told MiD-Day, “Equally funny and ferocious, Aruvi is a feminist social satire that stunned us when we first saw it. We were drawn in by its unconventional narrative, deftly balancing its black comedy leanings with the beats of a taut thriller.”
Fatima is working in the Bollywood industry since her childhood. She was a known face in the 2000s. The actress did several small roles before she bagged Dangal. Her next release was Thugs of Hindostan which was a big flop. She has also worked on TV shows like Best Of Luck Nikki and Ladies Special.
