We know the worsening coronavirus situation in the country. The second wave of covid-19 is hard on many people. Due to this, the shooting of films has also been stalled. The Maharashtra government has flattened the curve in an attempt to curb the spread of the virus. As the shoots are halted, there is no use of vanity vans. As a result, they are only parked. Vanity van owner Ketan Rawal has diverted his vans for the use of Mumbai police on Covid-19 duty. As per the reports, as many as half a dozen vanity vans currently with the police because of Covid-19. These vanity vans include the ones used on the sets of Ranveer Singh’s Cirkus, Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan.

Speaking to a leading daily, Ketan said, “I have diverted vans from Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, and Anand L Rai’s Raksha Bandhan in service of the Mumbai police.” He added, “I have a large number of vanity vans in service of the Mumbai police, they are the frontline workers; last year we offered it to the women officials who are field duty and needed to rest, use washrooms while doing their duties and of course change before going home.”
Maharashtra is one of the worst-hit states by the covid pandemic. The horror that the virus has brought to the state is like a nightmare.
