Thank God movie review:
The movie revolves around a self-centred man, Ayaan Kapoor. He is facing some tough times in his life. The bad luck exceeds so much that he gets into a life-threatening car accident. This takes him to the afterlife where he meets YamDoodh (Mahesh Balraj) and Chitragupt (Ajay Devgn). They make him play the ‘Game of Life’ to decide his fate further. The movie picks up from here where we go through the deeds of Ayaan Kapoor.
The first half of the movie makes us realise how evil a man can be and how his bad deeds can affect him. Ayaan is in massive debt after losing everything during the ‘Note Bandi’ imposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He has to now sell his luxurious bungalow to pay off his debt which he is unable to do so.
The director Indra Kumar has a strong underlying message for the audience. He tries to teach the viewers the lesson of karma. Apart from the cheezy jokes, the film goes smoothly throughout. It is made for mass entertainment. Thank God is a slice-of-life film with fun and comic elements. The CGI of the movie seems very gimmicky, and it is a mainstream Hindi film inside out.
