The production team behind the late Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar’s fantasy film “Gandhada Gudi” unveiled the trailer on Sunday. The docu-drama is scheduled for release on October 28, 2022. Check out the Gandhada Gudi Trailer below.
Gandhada Gudi Trailer Out
The late film star makes his final appearance on the big screen in the Amoghavarsha-directed documentary. Puneeth Rajkumar, also known as Appu, passed away on October 29, 2021, from a severe heart attack. Age-wise, he was 46.
Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar tagged the Prime Minister in a tweet after releasing the approximately two-minute Gandhada Gudi trailer, writing: “Namaste @narendramodi, We are having a difficult day because we are releasing the trailer for #GandhadaGudi, a project that means a lot to Appu. Appu always treasured our conversations and wished we could have shared them in person.”
PM Modi tweeted in response to Puneeth’s wife’s tweet: “Appu lives in the hearts of millions all around the world. He was the epitome of genius, exuded vitality, and possessed unmatched talent. #GandhadaGudi honors Mother Nature, Karnataka’s natural beauty, and environmental preservation. I wish you well in your endeavors.”
Coincidentally, the title of a well-known Kannada movie featuring Puneeth’s father, the late Dr. Raj Kumar, is Gandhada Gudi.

About Puneeth Rajkumar
Puneeth Rajkumar, better known by his stage name Appu and an Indian actor, playback singer, television host, and producer who specialized in Kannada film, was born on 17 March 1975 and passed away on 29 October 2021. He was among the most well-liked actors in Kannada movies. Puneeth played the lead in 29 movies, and he was a frequent kid actor. He received accolades for his performances in the films Vasantha Geetha (1980), Bhagyavantha (1981), Chalisuva Modagalu (1982), Eradu Nakshatragalu (1983), Bhakta Prahaladha, Yarivanu, and Bettada Hoovu (1985). Ramu, the character he played in Bettada Hoovu, earned him the National Film Award for Best Child Artist. For Chalisuva Modagalu and Eradu Nakshatragalu, he also received the Karnataka State Award for Best Child Artist. In 2002’s Appu, Puneeth played his first main role.
