Black Adam Movie review:
Black Adam is a tale of a malevolent and gloomy god who has been woken up thousands of years after his imprisonment. He is back to save the Middle Eastern nation Khandaq which is also his home. For the first third of the movie, he is presented as the chosen Champion who had defeated the domineering king thousands of years ago. However, mysteries about the Teth-Adam unfold with each step of the film.
After the first third of the film, the audience is made to continue on the evolution of Black Adam towards the Good-Guy status. However, it is hard for the people around Adam to put a finger on whether he is good or bad. Regardless, everyone needs his help to save them from the evil the crown unleashes at them.
Dwayne Johnson does absolute justice to this masterpiece. It is one of the best DC Comics films. The Black Adam movie is as DC as it gets, and the audience couldn’t have asked for more. Dwayne takes the breaths away with his majestic and spiky performance. The film has sharp edges to its past story that doesn’t allow a single dull moment.
Black Adam characters:
Apart from Teth Adam, most of the prominent characters have lighter personalities. Adrianna Tomaz (Sarah Shahi) is the bounding part of the story. She holds all the characters in place and is the base point of the story. Her cheerful son Amon (Bodhi Sabongui) skateboards throughout the town with his dorky and flamboyant personality. Andriana’s brother Amir (comedian Mohammed Amer) brings fun and comic elements to the film.
Aldis Hodge’s Hawkman, Noah Centineo’s Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell’s wind-manipulating Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan’s dimension-hopping and clairvoyant Dr Fate means well and have pure motives. However, the makers bring the audience to the edge of their seats with healthy clashes between Adam and the Justice Society.
The film has an edge and is also entertaining at its morally grey areas. Black Adam also has violent scenes that show each character’s motives, duties, responsibilities and ambition. However, it has been rated U/A and is safe for kids to watch. Black Adam gives a massive build-up until the very end. The climax brings justice to the entire plot leaving everyone satisfied. Moreover, the post-credits scene leaves the entire theatre clapping and hooting. Like every other superhero movie, the audience is not excited to watch the sequel to Black Adam too after watching the post-credits.
Black Adam review conclusion:
“Black Adam” is a superlative and clever example of this sort of movie, colouring within the lines while drawing fascinating doodles on the margins. In its brash, relentless, overscaled way, Collet-Serra’s film respects its audience and wants to be respected by it. “Black Adam” gives the audience everything they wanted, along with things they never expected.
So, this was all about the Black Adam movie review. Bollywood Hush will rate the film 4.8 stars out of 5. If you are a DC Comics fan then you should definitely not miss this film and watch it at the theatres near you for the best experience.
