
Bollywood has an old habit of remaking old films and keeping up with that Ali Zafar is about to remake the blockbuster hit of 1987, Mr. India. The movie originally starred Anil Kapoor and Sridevi in the lead role and the remake is said to be a trilogy and the casting is yet to be done by Zee Studios. Sonam Kapoor’s Instagram post suggests that the original makers aren’t very happy with this as there was no prior permission taken before deciding to remake their film.

Sonam says that the film is very special to her dad and he is very upset to hear this news as they never knew about this and she even replied to some of the comments saying that her father Anil Kapoor was even a part producer with his brother Shekhar Kapur and they both oppose the remake.
Well, the controversy continues but there isn’t a definite answer yet about the film being remade or not, the original makers are trying everything to not give the rights and there hasn’t been an official statement from Zee Studios or Ali Abbas Zafar.
