Every actor wishes to try their hand at comedy at some point throughout their career. However, not everyone is given this opportunity. Actor Himani Shivpuri, a veteran performer who has been in a number of films and television shows, discusses her passion for the genre and why it is the most difficult to approach. She is a regular in the popular TV show Happu Ki Ultan Paltan. The actress portrays Kartori Amma in the show, which is created by Binaiferr Kohli and Sanjay Kohli’s Edit II Productions.
She says, “I basically understand the scenes, put my heart and soul into the moment, and begin doing what the scene requires of me. Yes, personal life has an impact, but you must learn to separate it from business life and make people laugh.”
According to her, the scenario is amusing. “So, if you play to the situation, the humour comes. “It isn’t the face, and you can’t tell the difference between the face and the words because it isn’t just one thing. “It’s a mash-up of everything,” When asked about the finest compliment she has received for Kartori Amma, she begins by expressing appreciation for all the love that has come her way.
Actor Himani Shivpuri:
Many people claim that comedy allows them to relax and forget about their problems. Himani agrees and adds, “Yes, definitely, because watching a serious show or anything dark affects you. After all, everything you see elicits emotions in you. So you get this terrible feeling when you see something sad or nasty. However, you would be happy if you were watching a light-hearted comedy or a clean show. So I believe it pleases the audience.”
The comedy will always have a captive audience. However, the actor believes that the quality and approach must be excellent. The actor praises Binaiferr, Sanjay, and their Edit II Productions crew, saying that the duo understands the audience’s pulse and ensures that quality is never compromised.
The actress says, “We have a nice warm relationship that has lasted for years. There were numerous occasions when Edit II Productions approached me for a role, but I didn’t have any dates. But everything worked out this time. In addition, I was a great fan of their show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai. I really like how the director and writer collaborate here. When I was given the opportunity to work, the character that was described to me was a dream role for any performer. Katori Amma is a complex character.”
Happu Ki Ultan Paltan:
She concludes, “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me. I flirt with my ex-husband and hit my son, but I’m also a loving mother, and there’s this fun disagreement between me and my daughter-in-law that everyone enjoys because it’s healthy because we always end up patching up. So I enjoy playing the character,”
