Comedy is a difficult genre for any artist to explore. Furthermore, actor Yogesh Tripathi, who plays Daroga Happu Singh in the film Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, reminds out that actors must deliver their lines effectively even when they are not feeling pleased or in the right frame of mind. In both of his programmes, Happu… and Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, both of which are produced by Binaiferr Kohli and Sanjay Kohli under the Edit II Production label, he discusses how he handles such circumstances.
The actor reveals, “We alter the lines in accordance with our needs. The situations that I have with my wife, children, Ammaji, in Happu… or possibly in with Malkhan in Bhabiji… sometimes get too long, and that’s when we strive to make sure that it does not get too stretched. At other times, I’ve mentioned that it looks the same and why to make the scene 1.5 pages or 3 pages, for example. Something becomes uninteresting if we drag it out. To prevent our viewers from becoming bored. We, therefore, make changes. 2000 episodes have been finished in this manner. Otherwise, it’s difficult for a series these days to reach 200 episodes. The show falters and becomes monotonous. This movie is not 2.5 hours long.”
Actor Yogesh Tripathi:
He further confesses, “The audience won’t grow bored if you make a movie with a message. You must bring something fresh each day. Happu has been working there for four years, while Bhabiji has been operating for eight years. It is therefore more challenging than a movie. In movies, you have more time, can edit, and can add. In serials, a new story must be broadcast every day, and it must always be unique to prevent viewers from feeling that the episodes are becoming stale. Thus, writers have a harder time coming up with new stories every day than performers do.”
The actor responds, “I’ve heard from the audience that they can see some glimpses of Govinda’s timing in me.” When asked about the finest compliment he has ever received for his performance. He adds, “Rajpal Yadav recently appeared alongside Govinda and me in an advertisement, and he stated that he liked my performance in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai. For me, these are the greatest praises (smiles).”
Binaiferr and Sanjay make sure that the calibre of their content is never compromised. Because they are aware of the audience’s pulse. In the industry, they are renowned for their brand. Yogesh also appreciates them and remarks on his positive working relationship with the group. He says, “Having worked for the production company for fifteen years, we feel like a family. If it hadn’t been this way, we would not have been able to work with them for so long. Out of the nine years that F.I.R. was on the air, I worked there for 6-7 of them. After that, I did Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai for 8 years until they collaborated with me to make a show.”
Happu Ki Ultan Paltan serial:
The actor Yogesh Tripathi signs off by saying, “Since they are now like family to me, it is no longer a production house. They have admitted to me that they will make accommodations if I wish to make a film. They are quite encouraging. So perhaps that explains why we have been collaborating for so long. And both programmes are now airing and doing well. Fortunately, given the response from the public, I don’t believe we will be granted a leave of absence for a few more years (laughs),”
