After Sushant Singh Rajput’s unfortunate demise, Bollywood got into everyone’s radar. The Hindi Film Industry was accused of promoting nepotism and being a center of drug nexus. Now famous filmmaker Anubhav Sinha has come forward to defend the industry and voice his opinions on Television channels. In an interview to PTI, Anubhav said that no negativity exists in Bollywood and is present only in T.V.
Anubhav Sinha Talks about Negativity in TV Channels:
He said, “Just look at the TRPs of these TV channels. They don’t matter at all. The negativity is only on the TV news channels. Do you think the fans and admirers on the streets have started feeling any different? No.” He also mentioned that viewers are now analyzing that agendas of news channels are only shifting. The Thappad movie director said, “Even they can see through the stories on these news channels and can see how these channels keep shifting their goals: from murder, drugs, to someone missing. They are worthless goals.”
Recently, Anubhav’s music video “Bambai Main Ka Ba” is receiving huge amount of love from the audience. It also features Manoj Bajpayee. The director is happy that the public is resonating with the video. He said, “I feel wonderful that a conversation we were keen on, which had suddenly gone missing, was brought back. I’m happy we created something which is entertaining to consume but also bothers you, helps you seek the right answers.” The video features shots of the migrant exodus during the lockdown. He also said that as as a society, more should have been done for migrant workers who reached out for help in times of crisis.
The 55 year old filmmaker said, “We should have looked at it with more sympathy, done so much more for them. Our attention got divided. We were not looking at the most pressing things with the best of intentions. We failed the migrant labourers. This is the first time they needed us to stand up for them but we didn’t. We failed them.”
