Indian Celebs talk about Satish Kaushik:
Nikkhil Arya
Mr India was almost like a cult classic when I was growing up, and Satishji’s portrayal of the role will always stand out in my mind as my favourite of his movies. He was a competent director, but I believe he was also a highly skilled performer underappreciated.
Charrul Malik
The news is terrible. He was a classic performer and one of my favourites. His performance in the movie Mr India as Calender and his character Pappu Pager is so distinctive and memorable. These people will live on in our hearts forever. Two years ago, I had the opportunity to meet him at an award ceremony, and we greeted each other. He acknowledged me as a news reporter. Despite the brief meeting, he struck me as entirely down to earth. I am speechless. He has such incredible parts. It is unimaginable that he is no longer there after having recently performed Holi. He will be missed.
Simaran Kaur
It’s surprising and I can’t believe it. Satish Ji played such fascinating roles and was such a kind and humble person. Bollywood has lost another gem today. He has created many endearing characters for us to remember, including Calendar, Pappu Pager, and many others. His family has my sincere condolences and my prayers are with his soul. You will be missed, sir. May he find peace.
Akashdeep Sabir
It is shocking. He was a gentleman who was always smiling. He is one of those people you don’t think about dying. I’ve known him for a long time. He played a cop in Jalwa while I was helping Pankaj Parasher in Karamchand. In that capacity, he was funny. Our industry has lost a very skilled actor and director. He was a wonderful human being. May his soul rest in peace.
Sneha Jain
It’s shocking news indeed. I recently came upon his Holi photos, and I’m puzzled as to why he suddenly left. He has been an incredible artist, and I have watched him grow up. I have drawn inspiration from several films, and he is the reason I became interested in comedy. I adore his hilarious timing and character variations. I’ve never actually met him. It’s challenging to single just one movie because his fans have never been let down by a film. He consistently astounds audiences with his wide range of performances. My favourite of his films is Ghar Vali Bahar Vali and Hum Apke Dil Me Rahate Hai. He was an entire institution and a comprehensive package. My sympathies to his family; may he rest in peace.
Hitanshu Jinsi
The news that Satish Ji has passed away is devastating. I saw his movies as a kid. He was a household name and a famous performer. Rajaji, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and many others. He has always been entertaining to watch on television. He was someone I never had the chance to meet in person. I’m sending up prayers for his family. Aatma ko moksh pradaan kare bhagwan unki. Shanti om.
Nikhil Nanda
He left too soon. A long and happy life depends on maintaining good health. His character Calender in Mr India was fantastic. Such a legendary part he played. May his soul find peace.
Esha Gaur
It’s astonishing how quickly Satish Kaushik Ji passed away. He captured our hearts by portraying Calender and Pappu Pager. He was a renowned actor who played some characters that were quite imaginative. His assistance to the Hindi film industry will never be forgotten. My sympathies go out to his family. Om Shanti.

He was one of the most modest, joyful, and perpetually smiling famous performers I had ever encountered. My earliest memory of Satish Ji really comes from a dinner party we attended at Anupam and Kiran Kher’s home one night, where Satish Ji was also there. You should be aware that there is one more elderly actor, Mr. Anang Desai, who was a classmate of Satish Ji and Anupam Kher and with whom they shared anecdotes about their hours spent studying together. The first amazing memory I have is rolling around on the floor the entire night while Satish Ji and Anupam Ji told us stories.
The most adaptable performer was Satish Ji, who also had a terrific sense of humour. He portrayed so many distinct characters and seamlessly blended into each one. My heart is broken to hear that he is no longer with us. May Mahakaal grant him peace and blessings on his soul. Today, we lost a wonderful actor.
