Disha Vakani has spent the last several years working in the entertainment industry. But she gained huge fame thanks to her role as Dayaben in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. One of the sitcom’s most adored characters is Disha, who has gained notoriety in the public eye. The public still holds out hope that she will make a comeback as Dayaben, although she left the show years ago. Disha Vakani isn’t in the public eye right now, but there has been a rumor going around that she has throat cancer.
Malav Rajda Opens Up On Disha Vakani Throat Cancer
Malav Rajda, the director of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has aggressively responded to these accusations and has labeled them “baseless.” He sent a screenshot of an article about Disha Vakani from a news source. Like Jethalal said, “NONSENSE,” he captioned the photo. “News reporting is such a responsible job. It amazes me how at times it’s so irresponsibly done. At least cross-check once. It can affect so many people. And WHY WHY WHY print any news until you are sure about it. So to all her fans, this is completely false (sic).”
Mayur Vakani (Sundar), Disha Vakani’s brother, has also spoken out about the news, in addition to Malav Rajda. Mayur Vakani said in an interview with ETimes that while these rumors frequently surface, they are untrue. He pleaded with the crowd not to buy any of this.
Disha Vakani married the businessman Mayur Padia and left the show indefinitely to have a baby. The actress welcomed a baby boy earlier this year after being blessed with a girl before.
Producer of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Asit Modi also laments the loss of Disha Vakani, saying during a recent press conference that “Daya bhabhi is a character the public cannot forget. People are aware of its absence. I admire Disha, and I will continue to wait for her today while praying to God for her to come back. She does, however, have a family and obligations to them. Like the audience, I’m also holding out.”
