The longest-running sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been making people laugh for more than 14 years. The characters and plot have managed to win audiences’ hearts throughout the years and carve out an unreplaceable space. The lives of typical Indian cooperative housing societies were depicted in the show accurately. Over the years, a number of the show’s cast members left Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, and word of their departure quickly went viral. Malav Rajda, the director of of the show, has now also announced his departure.

The longest-running sitcom’s director, Malav Rajda, has said goodbye after more than 14 years of working on the show. Malav has been a part of the show since the beginning, and on December 15, 2022, he shot the final episode. There were numerous rumors following his departure that Malav left the show because of creative issues. Malav Rajda, however, debunked all of these theories and disclosed his true motivation for leaving Taarak Mehta.
Malav adds that while filming a show, creative disagreements frequently occur. They are always for the benefit of the production. He went on to say that he was grateful to TMKOC producer Asit Kumar Modi. He had no beef with the production company. After being involved with the sitcom for 14 years, the former director continued, “I believed I had gone into a comfort zone.” While discussing his 14-year adventure, Malav stated that he had opted to leave the sitcom because he wanted to push himself creatively.
