The Tunisha Sharma suicide case is still under investigation. On December 24, the actress was reportedly discovered dead on the set of her television show Ali Baba: Daastan-E-Kabul. The following day, after Tunisha’s mother Vanita Sharma filed a report for “abetment to suicide,” her ex-boyfriend and co-star Sheezan Khan was taken into custody. The actor has since been detained by authorities, and on January 13 his next bail application will be heard. Sheeezan’s mother, sisters Falaq and Shafaq Naaz, and attorney Shailendra Mishra participated in a press conference on January 2. During the conversation, they made some surprising assertions against the deceased’s mother, Vanita, and answered every accusation leveled at Sheezan and their family.
Despite this, the TV show’s creators have chosen to continue telling their story and casting new actors. According to rumors, Abhishek Nigam has been cast in the title role of Ali Baba, taking Sheezan Khan’s place. The actor was required to step in during this crisis because they had previously worked together on “Gayab Mode On.” The filmmakers are still considering the possibility of adding a new character or casting an actor to fill Tunisha’s part of Princess Mariam, therefore, the search for the female protagonist is still ongoing.
According to a source who spoke with Indian Express, “Abhishek has been selected and will shortly begin filming the promo.” After suffering a fatal injury, Ali Baba will be portrayed to have undergone ancient plastic surgery to gain a new look. However, the producers are holding onto their options and could add a twist if necessary. Alind Srivastava and Nissar Parvez, the producers, have also remained silent about Tunisha’s passing ever since.
