Laal Singh Chaddha’s shoot was stalled due to the COVID-19 crisis. Northern India is shown to be the film’s backdrop. But if Aamir Khan keeps the shoot at hold any longer then it will not be a commercially viable decision. With the rightly made sets and ambience, Aamir Khan can pull it off anywhere. Hence, Turkey and Georgia have been decided, by Aamir Khan and the makers of the movie Laal Singh Chaddha, as the locations for the pending shoot of this movie. These locations have been chosen as both these countries are doing fairly well in fighting the Coronavirus battle. Reports say that no further delays are to be made for the movie.
Director, Advait Chandan, and Aamir Khan waited for the Coronavirus crisis curve to flatten. Hence, the shooting of the big canvas film was on pause for more than four months. Although the number of cases are now increasing exponentially, the location for the movie has been decided. As per reports, approximately 30-35% of the shooting still remains to be done.
Before the outbreak of the Coronavirus, the release date of the movie was decided to be December 25, 2020. But now the final dates seem uncertain.
Sources say, “It now remains to be seen when the final wrap up will be possible. The movie is working our very well and keeping the flow in mind, it is imperative that the balance part is rolled out ASAP.”
Laal Singh Chaddha is said to be full of comedy and drama as it is an official remake of 1994 Hollywood movie, Forest Gump. The latter starred Tom Hanks in the lead role. The production of the movie starring Aamir is handled by Aamir Khan and Viacom 18. The cast of the movie also includes Kareena Kapoor. Major part of the movie has been shot in Jalandhar, Punjab.
