The India China war continues. After the Indo-China Gallan Valley clash, Indians banned the import or usage of Chinese goods. Now, they have also decided to cut China digitally. A list of fifty-nine Chinese apps has been banned from India. This list includes top apps of India, such as TikTok, Shein, Club Factory, Shareit, UC Browser, Viva Video, and more. Many Indian citizens had different opinions on this decision by the Indian government. Even the Bollywood celebs on the TikTok ban in India, along with other 58 apps, have strong opinions.
Celebrities including Kangana Ranaut, Malaika Arora, Farah Khan, and others, took it to their social media and other platforms to raise their voice. They shared their views publically without any fear. TikTok is owned by China’s ByteDance. The Indian ministry of information technology said that the apps are engaged in activities, prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defense of India, the security of the state and public order. It is estimated that about 120 million TikTok users in India. Also, many Bollywood celebs are present on the platform too.
