The drama has received a positive reception, according to actress Megha Ray, who plays Radhika in the Sapnon ki Chhalaang serial, which is produced by Nilanjana Purkayastha and Herumb Khot’s Invictus T Mediaworks. The actress continues by saying that she adores her role.
The actress claims, “The character is not your typical TV chick; she gives her all. I adore it when she channels her inner Jhansi and responds to anyone who behaves incorrectly or condescendingly in her own unique way. She is not your typical TV chick; she is helpless and Bechari. Moreover, she thinks it’s better to deal with issues head-on than to brush them under the rug, even if it means standing her ground in awkward situations. She isn’t naturally fearless, but like any other normal person, she experiences fear, trepidation, and anxiety. Moreover, she simply doesn’t know how to give up, though. She is very ‘Dheet’ or unyielding since her ambition in life is very important to her.”
She goes on to say, “She knows herself enough to not let go of her unique perceptions about life or her value system, but at the same time, she can adapt as per her surroundings and genuinely respect all other schools of thought without judging them. This is the first time I’m working with such a large cast,” the actress remarks when asked about her relationship with her co-stars. My Jhansi family, with whom I haven’t worked since Radhika moved to Mumbai, my Mumbai house family, and my office family are the three families I have here. I don’t get to spend a lot of time with one particular cast consistently because of the nature of our show’s plot, but I’ve formed a special relationship with every one of them. For myself, I now place a lot more weight on female friendships. “
Sapnon ki Chhalaang serial:
Megha further adds, “Female friendships weren’t something I had a lot of success with when I was younger because the majority of them turned on me when I did well or won a competition. Later, there were hardly any girls around when I started studying engineering, and by the time I was working for a software company, my team contained no female members. I had to learn how to get along with boys, and as a result, I made some wonderful friends with whom I remain in contact and who hold a particular place in my heart. I only have one female acquaintance from childhood, and she lives in a distant city.”
The actress goes on to add, “It occurs to me how much I miss having a woman in my life when I work on a production with a largely female cast and we emphasise female bonds. Whether it was my female coworkers, housemates, or Kashish ji, who is playing my mother, we all clicked nearly right away. I’ve grown rather close with the majority of my female co-stars. Regarding Pulkit, I’m thrilled that we are once again collaborating. Because we both put so much effort into our characters, even though we are portraying completely different characters from the ones we previously played together on a show, we never once felt like we had previously worked with them. That doesn’t occur frequently. Apart from that, my roommates and I have a great time on set, telling jokes, laughing, and pulling each other’s hair.”
Actress Megha Ray:
The audience, according to Megha, is adoring the show. She confesses, “It genuinely touches my heart to receive calls and comments from people all over the world expressing how much they enjoy watching the show. There has been a unified response. They all agree that both the performances and the content are excellent. Also, they simply cannot wait to see the upcoming episode. They claim that watching it feels more like watching a movie than a daily soap. People are just adoring every minute of the show since it encourages women and deals with numerous subjects outside of just being entertaining.”
Megha chuckles when she says that she has gotten used to her character’s peculiar habit of devouring her hair. The actress said, “I had a hard time getting used to Radhika’s habit of chewing her hair (hahaha). I used to act horrified and make expressions before every scene where I had to do it. My director would jokingly suggest that I top it with chocolate sauce and eat it. But the more I played my part, the more it almost felt natural for me to stress-chew my hair as Radhika. That must be what occurs when you inhabit your role, I suppose. It feels so nice to transform into someone else without even recognising it.”
Final Word:
She continues by saying how important this show is to her. The actress says, “I view this concert as a wholly artistic and passionate endeavour. Quality and authenticity are important to the entire team. Every actor aspires to be a part of that compelling screenplay. I believe Sapnon ki Chhalaang will be one of my best pieces to date, and I plan to keep honing my craft in the future in order to prove myself deserving of further scripts with similar power.”
