Every year on June 5, we commemorate World Environment Day. The largest environmental day on the planet is now. The topic for this year is how to reduce plastic pollution. The opinions of famous people on how to protect the environment are presented.
World Environment Day:
Sneha Namanandi:
“We need a clean environment right now, and the lockdown made it even more important to breathe clean air. Yes, celebrities set an example for their audience by talking about doing good things like conserving water, avoiding plastic, and planting more trees. When I first learnt about global warming, I wasn’t very old, but I was old enough to recognise its long-term consequences, so my mother and I started planting trees on my birthday every year. Then, I would take care not to waste any water. When I read about places where people had to go so far to find fresh water, I realised that I could do whatever I set my mind to.”
Aniruddh Dave:
“It makes a big difference when well-known people talk about it and show the simple lifestyle changes they undertook to support a healthy environment. After learning about the truly astonishing phenomenon that is global warming, I started observing and studying climate change. Since then, I’ve learned to value the idea that everyone should contribute to environmental protection. I switch off the lights and fans when I leave the room to conserve energy. At my house, I’ve built a small garden, and I’ve started to plant trees all throughout the neighbourhood. I prefer stainless steel over plastic, don’t use it in my home, and exclusively use eco-friendly cutlery.”
Nikhil Nanda:
“Even the smallest amount makes a difference when it comes to the environment. Yes, your mind will immediately respond and remind you not to waste water if you leave the water running while brushing your teeth. That is the way it works. As I was aware that our activities today might result in a better future for the world. I was astonished to read about global warming.”
“Also, I make an effort to reduce my environmental effect by using less energy, not only at home but also when I visit friends and relatives. I always save the boxes and wrappers from any food products I bring on the road and just throw them away in the garbage. Only recycled plastic is acceptable in my opinion since it is crucial; single-use plastic is not acceptable. It’s not like I started doing it today; I’ve been acting in this way ever since I first learned about climate change and global warming.”
Karishma Raj Soni:
“I think it definitely inspires young people to act responsibly to preserve and protect the environment. I was genuinely alarmed when I first learnt about global warming because I realised that, despite the fact that it would take some time, we will eventually have to cope with its impacts. much like Karma. I’ve always made an effort to contribute to environmental protection, and I began by not wasting water. Since there is no other solution, I make an effort to conserve and recycle water regularly.”
Simaran Kaur:
“At this time, I think our environment has seen a lot of changes. I think that no one really paid attention to global warming. However, I think it is crucial that we, as citizens of this planet Earth, become ecologically sensitive and informed now that we are witnessing climatic changes, such as longer, hotter summers and unpredictable rain. And in my opinion, individuals can make a range of adjustments, beginning with something as basic as forgoing needless travel and utilising public transit. You might accept accountability for things like preventing water and electricity waste. I’ve noticed that a lot of people have a very bad habit of wasting water while brushing, which is easily avoidable. I firmly believe that even one individual becoming aware of these problems will significantly contribute to the improvement of the environment.”
Aadesh Chaudhary:
“Wherever I go, including shooting, I now use brass and copper bottles instead of as much plastic. They are, in my opinion, among the easiest, longest-lasting, and environmentally advantageous options to help protect the environment. I’ve developed routines for doing simple things like shutting off lights and not wasting any water. I’ve come to the conclusion that unless we incorporate them into our daily lives, we won’t be able to help the environment.”
Rishina Kandhari:
“The movement’s beauty is that even if you aren’t rich, you can still make a difference by making minor changes to your regular routine. We’re all in this together, and everyone has to put this first if we’re going to survive. Since plastics are now prohibited, I no longer use any plastic products in any way. Cloth or paper substitutes have taken the place of plastic bags, straws, and even plates. Water conservation is another issue to which I am dedicated, and I make every effort to persuade everyone to do the same when performing any household or private tasks.”
