The censor board awarded the Ayushmann Khurrana-starring picture “Doctor G” an “A” rating. The producers are pleased that no changes were suggested.
In the comedy-drama Doctor G, Ayushmann plays a gynecologist on a hospital campus. It follows the path of a future orthopedic surgeon who decides to major in gynecology. Being the lone male in a section where women predominate, he immediately faces a comical social awkwardness.
“The movie is daring, heavy on fun, yet quietly smashes preconceptions. One may expect from a typical Ayushmann Khurrana picture. It is a film for young adults who are exposed to strong yet sensitive and amusing content. They can, of course, watch it with their families, despite the absence of any explicit content. “We are glad that no cuts were proposed and that we can show the movie in theatres as is. Doctor G will also be appealing because it is under 2 hours long,” stated Amrita Pandey, CEO of Junglee Pictures.
Anubhuti Kashyap, the film’s director, stated that “Doctor G’ is a lighthearted comedy-drama. The film is clutter-busting. It will be a refreshing watch for the audience amid all the action, thriller, and fantasy-centered movies that have been released recently. “The trailer has been highly received. It only gives viewers a taste of the humour and amusement the movie will contain. I’m delighted everyone will get to see the complete movie because it will stick with them for a very long time.”
On October 14, Doctor G, a film directed by Anubhuti Kashyap and written by Sumit Saxena, Saurabh Bharat, Vishal Wagh, and Anubhuti Kashyap, will be released in theatres.
